Reiki Certification Explained: Level 1, 2, and Mastery

What does each Reiki level mean?

Curious about Reiki certifications and what they entail?

Take a journey through Levels 1, 2, and Mastery in Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho, uncovering the skills and knowledge gained at each level.

Level 1 of Reiki

During the first Reiki course, each student receives four initiations to activate the healing capacity of their hands and learns to use them in a new and conscious way.

They learn self-healing, which is the foundation for helping others. Self-healing is also a path to meditation.

Additionally, they receive basic training for treating another person, as well as fundamental rules and ethics related to having a Reiki clinic and clients. Of course, they also learn the history of Reiki and hear many interesting and educational stories based on real experiences.

Level 2 of Reiki

In the second-degree Reiki course, Reiki students learn techniques for performing distant healing on another person. Reiki II is designed for those who want to deepen their understanding of Reiki and the more mysterious aspects of healing.

In Reiki II, they receive another initiation, learn about psychic healing, distant healing techniques, and much more. This opens doors to significant opportunities, particularly for the development of intuition.

Mastery

In Usui Shiki Ryoho, there are only Levels 1 and 2 for those who practice Reiki healing.

If someone wishes to teach Reiki, the step after Reiki II is to become a Reiki Master. This involves a commitment to immerse oneself in Reiki with their master until both parties consider it the right time for initiation as a Reiki Master.
